NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs claims former Basketball Wives Orlando star Mulan Hernandez attempted to intimidate him physically as part of an extortion attempt.
In a lawsuit filed on Wednesday, February 26, and obtained by the Houston Chronicle, Diggs — a free agent who last played for the Houston Texans — alleges he was punched in the chest by Hernandez, “threatened with a deadly weapon” and is the victim of a “tale of abuse to extort millions of dollars.”
Diggs is seeking damages for “defendant misconduct and the destruction of his property.” The lawsuit claims Jones destroyed a wristwatch belonging to the football star, which TMZ valued at $130K.
The athlete’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, said Diggs, 31, and Hernandez (whose real name is Mia Jones) had a “casual” relationship in the months leading up to the incident, which allegedly happened in June 2024.
The lawsuit claims Hernandez and Brianna “Brii” Mack — who is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit — destroyed property at Diggs’ apartment and “refused to leave.”

Documents state Hernandez went to a Houston hospital on the morning of June 7, the date of the alleged incident, for “nausea and vomiting” after a “long night of partying.” Hernandez was allegedly discharged within an hour and denied “physical abuse of any kind.”
Hernandez made a second trip to the hospital a week later, according to court documents, when she claimed she was “punched in the back of the head with a closed fist.”
Diggs has denied physically assaulting Jones.
“My understanding is that [Hernandez] and [Mack] on [June 14] went to the hospital together making complaints. She was treated and released the same day,” Schaffer said in a statement to the Chronicle. “She didn’t see [Diggs] that day.”

Schaffer added, “There were threats coming from [Hernandez] that he had to pay her money or she was going to go public and ruin his career. We’re kind of at the point where the threats have to stop. That’s why the decision was made to go ahead and file. At some point it just has to end.”
Hernandez, who formerly dated NBA star Bol Bol, issued a statement about the alleged incident via her Instagram on Thursday, February 27.
“On June 7th I was assaulted from behind by Stefon Diggs at our residence, an incident that resulted in a concussion,” she wrote. “Months later when the mediation HIS LEGAL TEAM REQUESTED did not pan out in his favor I was struck with this FABRICATED STORY publicly.”
She continued, “This is clearly an attempt to try [and] get ahead of the truth that is to come. I WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED NOR SILENCED. Having to relive this moment is very traumatic for me especially in my time of healing. Domestic violence is something I do not wish on anyone [and] everything that is done in the dark will come to the light.”
